Taking care of your pretty baby can sometimes be exhausting and often you feel like you don’t have time for yourself at all. Well, on the market today, there are various baby gears and accessories that will help you do other activities, and in the same time keeping an eye on him/her. The Schwinn Free Wheeler jogging stroller is one of them. Having it will encourage you to get out and run a few miles with your child in tow. It will definitely be a fun activity for both of you. This jogger is made of lightweight aluminum using a 12-inch swiveling front wheel and sturdy 16-inch rear wheels for smooth steering even on the bumpiest terrain. The rear suspension system also increases baby’s comfort. It is easy to maneuver even if it looks so sturdy and heavy: measures 24.5 by 39 by 43 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 29 pounds. The adjustable-height handle makes it suitable for both short or tall parents. It offers your baby all the comfort needed thanks to the padded seat and the large protective sun canopy which includes a visor and weather shield. Baby’s safety is ensured by the five-point child harness. Besides its high level functionality it features some other additions: parent tray, child tray, a bottom basket for groceries or accessories and few more pockets for drinks and snacks. For your convenience the folding system is very easy. You only need to follow the instructions. Pros: This Free Wheeler is a stroller that would travel nicely on various terrains as many users confirm. Regarding the assembly few people encountered problems: it is pretty simple you just need to follow closely the instructions. Its most appreciated characteristics are the lightweight and the easy steering. You basically can use it on any type of terrain. The suspensions in the back will make the ride smoother for the baby. It is very easy to maneuver as you can turn it with just the flick of a wrist. For when needed it also has a sturdy cross bar to place your foot for leverage to get over bumps and obstacles. Another good thing about it is the swivel wheel in front. When walking, you can unlatch it and the front wheel turns freely; when running you might want to lock it into place for safety and control. The foot brakes work just fine. Your baby will be safe at all times due to the five point harness and to be sure of that you have a clear panel in the canopy. The good thing about this canopy is that you can unsnap it and drop it down in front of baby when the sun gets in your baby’s eyes. On the other hand when it rain you have a rain cover built-in- it zips down from the canopy. There is nothing more to ask from it! Besides all the positive aspects that users themselves confirm, there are other features drawing your attention: the wrist tether used as a little extra security for your peace of mind, the storage spaces underneath and the zippered pocket on the back of the seat, the parent and child tray (the last one can be removed with just a simple snap) and not the least, the possibility of attaching small toys to the frame. Regarding the maintenance, you will face no problem as the seat padding is removable. schwinn-free-wheeler-jogging-stroller-folded The folding is easy and the front wheel folds underneath for easy storage without having to remove it. Cons:
No matter how good and convenient it can be for some people, there will always be persons complaining about something. But this is not a bad thing, from two points of view: the future users will know exactly if it is the best option for them or not and the producer can improve the negative aspects. Right? In regards to this stroller and its characteristics most people complained about baby’s comfort, meaning: the seat angle must be modified a little so the baby can sit more upright, the shoulder straps should tighten more, no infant head rest is included and the safety belt, in some users’ opinion seems a little too rough for a baby. The only issue regarding its functionality is the lack of a hand brake. Other than that it works perfect like a $600 one. There were registered some other minor issues, such as: the parent tray would require a cover as this stroller is mostly made for usage on rough terrain or the lower basket and the cup holder which seem to be pretty shallow. The biggest problem with handling the stroller is that when folded it is not very compact as it doesn’t lock. baby-jogger-single-strollerBut these problems seem to get general because some other strollers in this price category have them also; such as the Baby Jogger 2010 City Mini Single Stroller, that you can buy via Amazon.com with only $229.99. You will be able to find it in more than one color: black/stone, green/gray, orange/gray, crimson/gray. But this jogger has its own downsides: the seat is only made of fabric and never goes fully upright so baby sits totally uncomfortable or that after a while this one will have problems with the front wheel as it shakes offering you a pretty bumpy ride. A perfect feature for this one is the large canopy. The canopy can almost completely cover the baby – but in some cases this can be a negative aspect for some, as baby can’t see anything outside it. It also features two windows which will help you to peek in on your baby and a lot of storage spaces. The most inconvenient aspect is that the Baby Jogger 2010 City Mini Single Stroller doesn’t have a cup holder or a snack tray neither for you or the baby. The folding problem persists and this one too. These are the main characteristics of a medium-priced jogger stroller. If you want all these bad aspects to be covered try checking the more expensive ones.
